3S PHOTONICS introduces a product line of Fiber-based Dispersion Compensation Modules (DCF-DCMs) to provide its customers with chromatic dispersion compensation solutions.
Modules from this new 3S PHOTONICS’ product line address the need to overcome the impairment of chromatic dispersion experienced by signals traveling along single mode fibers. Based on negative dispersion slope compensating fiber technology, they allow a continuous compensation over a wide spectral band. These modules provide the ideal solution to chromatic dispersion issues encountered in high bit rates, long distance, wide-band DWDM and CATV optical networks.
“The introduction of these DCF-based DCMs within the 3S PHOTONICS’ product portfolio is the result of a partnership agreement which allow us to enter the promising chromatic dispersion compensation market in both Europe and Asia” explained Michel Privat, COO and VP Sales at 3S PHOTONICS.
