Fast Ethernet chipset for Industrial and Consumer applications over POF Jan 22, 2009

Bristol, England - Nanotech Semiconductor Limited ("Nanotech"), a fabless IC company specializing in advanced Analog & Mixed-Signal ICs for fiber based communications applications, today announced availability of its pure-CMOS chipset for Fast Ethernet applications using Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) as transmission media.

The NT22010 is a Fast Ethernet Receiver IC. It consists of a highly integrated TIA and Limiting- or Post amplifier with LVDS outputs and requires no external components within the FOT. Combined with an external Photodiode, a complete light-to-logic solution is provided. With a die area of 1.3 mm² and a typical sensitivity of -29 dBm (0.3A/W) this represents the highest performance, yet lowest cost solution available.
