Drop-in, ready-to-go PoP solution Dec 1, 2008

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Draka Communications, a global leader in the optical fibre industry, has launched an innovative PoP solution to meet the needs of urban FTTH installations. Its pre-fabricated PoPs can be dropped in to FTTH infrastructures by crane to provide a secure facility that simply plugs in to a high-density fibre network serving a local community of customers.

“Our pre-assembled PoPs respond to customers’ wishes for effective FTTH infrastructure implementation,” said Albert Grooten Technology Director, Broadband, Draka Communications. ”These ‘drop-in, ready-to-go PoPs’ will make a substantial contribution to controlling CAPEX as well as speeding the deployment of European FTTH projects.
