This paper describes approaches required to design and deploy optical fibre to customer networks for Fibre-To-The-Home customers in multiple dwelling units (MDUs). MDUs have many different sizes (from as few as two individual occupier premises to many tens), many different topologies (from as few as two floors to many tens) plus many different anticipated fibre take-up rates; distinct strategies are required of the service provider to accommodate the many different scenarios.
